BSD Training goes green with Solar PV installation

BSD Training Ltd has installed 246 solar panels on the company’s roof in Co. Antrim to reduce its Carbon footprint and help the environment.

The Solar PV project compliments a drive towards energy efficiency. We have already invested in energy efficient lighting and will invest further in energy efficient technologies later in this year that will make significant savings going forward. The Solar PV system will produce clean green electricity to cover around 80% of our current average requirement. This sort of clear vision for the future is a signal that BSD Training is committed to sustainable growth, and reducing the business impact on the planet.

The Solar PV project will produce annual saving in Carbon Emissions of 32 Tonnes, which over the 20 year life span is 640 Tonnes – equivalent to the emissions of 5283 double decker buses.

The Solar PV installation along with recent purchases of new Cherry pickers for our IPAF Courses and the considerable investment in the upgrade and expansion of our confined spaces training area will help the company attain its ambitious growth plans – investing in the future.
