Tractor Mounted Hedge-Cutters/Flail mowers are commonly used in agriculture and horticulture applications to cut banks, verges and overgrown hedges.

Understand statutory requirements – H&S at Work Order (NI) 1978 and the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (NI) PUWER 1999.
Fit the bush cutter attachment.
Understand stability of the attachment.
Recognise hazards and understand safe working procedures.
Carry out pre-use checks.
Understand maintenance issues including greasing, oiling and fitting flail heads.
Carry out safe operation of the bush cutter including start up procedure, correct cutting procedure, clearing blockages, correct transportation procedures on the road/low loader, correct use of PPE and cutting steep banks.
Carry out various cutting options including upward, downward and reverse cutting.
Carry out all post operation checks.
