IPAF offer a number of eLearning Modules for MEWP operators, MEWPS for Managers and the new IPAF Site Assessment course.

MEWP OPERATOR ELEARNING
IPAF’s eLearning for MEWP operators is available for all MEWP categories (1a, 1b, 3a, 3b) and takes around three hours to complete. The eLearning is broken down into manageable sections that you can complete at your own pace and can save and resume your training at any time.

IPAF MEWP Operator eLearning training course is available in English, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish.

How to start your eLearning training course:

  1. Contact us to be registered for IPAF MEWP Operator eLearning training;
  2. You will be sent an email to begin your eLearning training;
  3. At the end of your training you will need to complete a pre-theory test;
  4. Once you have passed your pre-theory test, let us know and we will schedule your theory test, practical training and assessment.

MEWP operator eLearning does not replace practical training. Trainees who complete the online training course must still pass a supervised theory test within 45 days*, at our centre and must successfully complete a minimum half-day of practical training and testing before qualifying for and being issued with a PAL Card as proof of success operator training.

*Due to the ongoing coronavirus outbreak, trainees currently have 90 days from the date of completing theory eLearning module to attend an IPAF-approved training centre in order to take their theory test and practical training module. This period will be reviewed as the situation develops.

MEWPS FOR MANAGERS ELEARNING

This course has been designed to be completed solely on eLearning, on compatible PCs and tablet devices. SITE ASSESSMENT COURSE
Selecting a Mobile Elevating Work Platform (MEWP) can be complex and challenging. Being confident and sufficiently knowledgeable to select the correct MEWP for the job directly reduces risk. Correct MEWP selection also improves the effectiveness and efficiency of MEWP operation, reducing unnecessary costs and creating the ability to work to slicker timescales.

The course guides candidates through the process of determining the optimum MEWP for a given task. Factors covered include height, reach, up-and-over height, the weight of people, required materials & tools, environment, restrictions, set-up, hazards, permits, accessories, delivery, and completion of documentation to justify the selection. The course is theory-based only and incorporates an exam.

On completion of this course, the candidate will receive an IPAF certificate as evidence of successful training. Please note, there is no expiration date on the certificate.
