NiftyLift HR17 4x4 Hybrid rounds up our IPAF training fleet refresh

The new Nifty HR17 4x4 Hybrid has finally arrived and completes our rejuvenation of the IPAF Training fleet by joining the Skyjack SJ3219 and Nifty 150TPE that arrived earlier this year.

We decided to go with a Hybrid Nifty HR17 to help reduce emissions created during training and allow the machine to be used in an electric-only mode to allow for zero-emission operation and significantly reduce the noise levels whilst training and testing for delegates.

By choosing a Hybrid machine we can ensure that we can conduct 6 IPAF 3B tests without having the worries of battery life that a battery only powered machine brings. Due to the rigorous testing regime candidates have to undertake for the 3B category solely relying on battery power alone is not an option, however with a Hybrid machine the battery power can be utilised to its full potential at which point the machine can be switched over to a low emission diesel engine which features Niftylift's advanced exhaust purification system, which greatly reduces Carbon Monoxide, Hydrocarbon and particulate emissions, making either an environmentally conscious choice. This ensures that there is no downtime having to recharge the batteries and tests can continue with no inconvenience to the operators whilst at the same time the Diesel engine is recharging the batteries without the need to be plugged into a mains electric supply.

The HT17 Hybrid is fitted with NiftyLift's SiOPS® Stops MachineMovement Instantly system. SiOPS® reacts instantly when it senses the operator being forced onto the controls. By removing the operator reaction time SiOPS® greatly reduces the potential for trap injury and eliminates sustained involuntary operation by instantly interrupting all machine movement if an operator is pushed against the cage controls and addresses a known contributing factor in trapping incidents and gives the operator a vital second chance.
